For directions to the school please see road maps.

Please enter the school through the main entrance and follow the signs to the Registration & Reception area. Refreshments will be served there for students and parents/guardians. Upon arrival students will be enrolled and will receive a student pack including their personal course timetable.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring all the study materials that you would normally need at school for your subjects, including textbooks (if you feel you will need them) , school-notes (again if you feel you will need them), writing paper and a calculator where appropriate.

If you would like to take part in sporting activities, remember to bring the appropriate clothing and equipment. Students will have access to outdoor sports grounds, including tennis courts and football pitches. There is also a swimming pool near to the school.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation for residential students will be in single or shared study bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities, unless you have requested a guaranteed single room. Bedding is provided, but please bring your own towels.

NOTE: The main doors for each accommodation block are locked with a security code during the day, and double locked at night. Note that due to fire regulations, St Edward’s School does not give out keys to the individual study bedrooms. Students are advised to take care of their valuables. We cannot take responsibility for property left unattended in these rooms.

SPENDING MONEY

All meals and refreshments are provided throughout the course, but students will require some spending money to participate in some of the optional evening social events, such as the cinema, bowling or ice skating. Day students are welcome to join in with social events and can sign up during the course. Most students will also appreciate additional funds for such irresistible luxuries as vending machines, the pool table, or a trip to the local shops.

DEPARTURE TIMES

All courses finish at 5:40 on the Friday. If necessary student may miss the last session; we might be able to reschedule that session but we certainly cannot guarantee it. Students staying on till Saturday may depart at any time before 10pm, though they may have to vacate their room earlier in the day.
